ABOUT

Juniper Breez by Desiree Belone (pictured)
BIO
Rooted in the culturally rich communities of East Los Angeles, Juniper Breez is the work of Desiree Belone, a Native American artist, jewelry designer, nurse, and sound practitioner. Inspired by nature, culture, and wellness, she creates handcrafted jewelry and accessories that encourage intentional living and meaningful connection.
INSPIRATION
Juniper Breez was inspired by a desire to create thoughtfully made pieces that honor both personal expression and our relationship with the natural world. My Indigenous upbringing, nursing background, and curiosity about how our ancestors lived, healed, and cared for their communities continue to shape my creative practice.

"I work with upcycled deadstock fabrics
and unused prints to give existing materials
a second life and reduce textile waste.
My work is rooted in reuse, care for the
environment, and finding beauty in
what might otherwise be discarded."
- Desiree Belone

"Ethical sourcing makes supply chains sustainable
by prioritizing fair labor practices, human rights,
and community well-being alongside
environmental stewardship.
By ensuring safe working conditions,
paying fair wages, and protecting local
ecosystems, ethical sourcing creates a resilient
foundation that prevents resource depletion
and supports long-term business continuity."

"Slow down and be curious about the materials
you bring into your home and wardrobe.
Consider supporting makers who use natural fibers
and reclaimed materials, and learn how
previous generations cleaned, ate, healed,
and thrived using the resources around them.
Those lessons continue to inspire a more
thoughtful and self-sustaining way of living."
- Desiree Belone
